Overview
Tan Phong island is an island located in the middle of Tien river in Tan Luong A ward, Tan Phong commune, Cai Lay district, Tien Giang province. Accreted by silt, with a rich source of fresh water all year round, Tan Phong has a favorable position in the development of the garden economy as well as aquaculture and fishing. With an area of over one thousand hectares, alluvial grounds, ditches surrounding, and a fresh, cool climate, Tan Phong has long become a destination of eco-tours.
Especially, the fun of "island bathing" and eating small edible sea snails is always the top choice for many tourists each time traveling to Tien Giang. This is a beautiful island surrounded by orchards, a home to those who are gentle, rustic, and hospitable. The space on the island is indeed a different world from the bustling city life.
Visitors can sail around the island, crept between the orchards, or board the boat along the Cai Be river watching the floating markets, learning about the daily activities of the local people.
