Overview

Bai Dinh Pagoda is a spiritual tourist area with a large population of pagodas with many Asian and Vietnamese records established as a pagoda with the largest golden bronze Buddha statue in Asia. It has the longest corridor of Arhat in Asia, the largest bronze statue of Maitreya in Southeast Asia and so on. This is the largest temple and possesses the most records in Vietnam. The items of construction and expansion of the new temple area were attended by the delegates attending the 2008 Buddha's Birthday celebration in the first phase. In 2010, Bai Dinh Pagoda was the place where the first Buddha's relic ceremony was held from  India to Vietnam.

Over 1000 years ago, in Ninh Binh, there were three King dynasties to be born: Dinh, Tien Le and Ly. These three feudal dynasties were all very interested in Buddhism and considered Buddhism as the National religion; So in Ninh Binh, there are many ancient temples, including Bai Dinh Pagoda, in the Trang An mountain range.
