Overview
Ba Dinh Square is the largest square in Vietnam, located on Hung Vuong Street, Ba Dinh District and is where Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum was built. This square is also a place to recognize many important imprints in Vietnamese history, especially, on September 2, 1945, President of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of Vietnam Democratic Republic of Ho Chi Minh read the version. The Declaration of Independence gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
Ba Dinh Square today has a campus with a length of 320 m and a width of 100 m, with 210 grass plots, and a 1.4 m wide walkway. Between the square is the flagpole 25 m high. This is the place where parades take place on the occasion of major Vietnamese holidays, and also a place for sightseeing, entertainment, and walking tours of tourists and residents of Hanoi.
